Alternative, Renewable Energy

Why do we need alternative, renewable energy?
Aren’t things just fine? The lights go on, the car runs, the thermostat keeps the house a perfect temp; it’s been this way as long as I can remember, what’s the ruckus about?

Fossil Fuel Glut
Our society has had the luxury for the past hundred and fifty years to rely upon an abundant source of ‘cheap’ energy, stored deep in the earth for millions of years, known to us as petroleum. According to best projections it is likely we will see the coming end of fossil fuel reserves in our lifetime.

New Infrastructure
Now, while current fuels last, it is essential that we build a new infrastructure around energy sources such as solar, wind and water, (and others revealed by research), to prepare ourselves for change that will inevitably come. By choosing renewable energy, we protect the environment and secure the benefits of energy independence while reducing long-term energy costs.
