VIRTUAL EARTH VILLAGE - AN IDEALISTIC VENTURE
Many challenges exist in our world that may not be readily solved: over-population, food scarcity, lack of education, humanitarian welfare needs, social and geo-political crises. These challenges will be solved naturally as we implement new ways of being. Like holistic health they are only symptoms of a problem. At the root is our way of being that sees the Earth Mother as a resource, instead of as our HOME.
I loved Richard Heinberg's book "The Party's Over" about our fossil fuel culture, and it's resulting overpopulation produced by abundance of cheap food and fuel. Rather than looking at it as a rise and decline, I see it as our Huge, Once in several Millenniums Opportunity to take a Giant Leap forward in our own evolution. For when cultures have "enough" is when they begin expressing the arts, philosophy, inventions, and new modes of government, so humanity moves ahead on the curve.
Right now, at this time in history, some of us are beyond our primary needs of food, shelter and safety. More than likely those or us reading this have enough free time on our hands, to access our capability to be more conscious and initiate positive change. Let the future record state we did!
Cultures that have lived close to the earth have in general had a great respect for the Feminine. The restoration of the Feminine (earth) balanced with Masculine (technology) will teach us a new way that will enrich our souls and our lives. Perhaps it's no accident the seed of this Village was given to a woman. Women are stepping into their Feminine strength as equals. Men are stepping into their grace to embrace and heal the magic of the Feminine. We are about to learn that the greatest strength is not "power over," but collaboration, cooperation and compassion.
Greg Braden, geologist, turned leading evolutionary philosopher, tells us the magnetics of the earth can be traced in rocks. At each critical time of evolutionary change, such as the life of Christ, the Bhudda and Others the magnetics on earth were very low. It is at this time human consciousness is most open and susceptible to change. Again we are at a time of lowered Earth magnetics.
Landmark fields of thought broached by The Secret and What the Bleep give a glimpse into our capabilities as POSITIVE CREATIVE BEINGS. Einstein recognized the potential for matter to take form as a result of intention. Quantum physics tells us a quark moves by intention being placed upon it.
Even we on the "front lines" barely grasp the extent of our capabilities. We are like babies learning to walk, and our World is our biofeedback mechanism for the success of our creations.
Ancient cultures recorded we would go through a "shift of the ages" in 2012. Not that the world would turn upside-down (though I'm sure it could if it wanted to), but that we would energetically begin to live a new dispensation. It is TIME. Time for each of us to step up and manifest the dreams of our Hearts. I always say that we are overqualified for most things. The one thing we are not overqualified for is what we came here to do, and when we live our True Path, it will Stretch us to our very limits, for it will demand our best!
It is not a coincidence that since the idea of Virtual Earth Village came to me, we have literally gone through an incredible transformation in our capability to communicate with each other INSTANTLY on the Web. Nothing is hidden, neither evil nor good. Inspiration is transmitted more widely than ever. The Gateway to Change is open - all we need do is step through it. Both consciously and unconsciously, the blockbuster Avatar's story touched the hunger in our souls to step up to our potential, and we are here to love and support one another in the process!
A small group of thoughtful people can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
A city (village) is a place where there is no need to wait for next week to get the answer to a question, to taste the food of any country, to find new voices to listen to and familiar ones to listen to again.

VIRTUAL EARTH VILLAGE WAS BORN – Around the time the clock rolled round to year 2,000, I was driving through Atlanta rush hour traffic, on a cross country journey. Searching for a name that would convey fully what I was envisioning, driving behind a UPS truck I suddenly knew I didn’t want to publish books made from trees, ship them in vehicles burning fossil fuels, creating more pollution and traffic; I suddenly knew I was destined to ride the wave of e-book publishing and internet transmission.
Wrestling with conflicts about living in today’s world, like a flash Virtual Earth Village popped in, and I knew this was to be a place for Community interchange, Seeding our Path to the Future.
When the earliest version of our site was built, one of the first emails we received was from a wonderful young man who wanted to come and live in our Village! I told him it was in his Mind and Heart and to make it happen wherever he was. In that moment, I knew that we were on the right track. Thank you, wherever you are. I hope you find us again and tell us about your journey.
There is a movement towards living communities. I believe we are evolving beyond the age of seeking to accumulate for the Individual. This may be why old systems are deteriorating. We are ready to discover a new/old way of living. The next generation of the "needs of the many outweighing the needs of the few," will teach us something good. Such transitions are not always easy, but the result that we can begin living now will be sweet.
It is time in Earth’s history to live with Vision and Purpose; to bring Higher Awareness into the energy field surrounding us; to assist the movement forward of humanity into a state of Peace, Equality, Simplicity and Respect for Mother Earth and One Another. Hey let's move those molecules!
I’m glad we’re all here, for “it takes a Village” to raise the children of our minds and hearts. Tell your friends to join us too – for as this Village grows, it nourishes us all, as we are inspired by each others experience.
DO YOUR PART FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE Here we practice sustainable living with renewable clean energy such as solar, wind and water; bicycles cruise gracefully along with those on foot. In Virtual Earth Village children’s laughter, birds’ songs and music from around the globe delight the ears and all life is respected; the air is fresh and sweet, and flowers dance in the life-giving sunlight, where clear waters flow. As members of the human family we are committed to acting today for a healthy and viable tomorrow – our choices really do make a difference however great or small!
The Hopi have prophecies and reflections for these times. I have always been very moved by this segment and feel it appropriate to our now.
There is a river flowing now very fast.
It is so great and swift, that there are those
who will be afraid.
They will try to hold onto the shore.
They will feel they are being torn apart and
will suffer greatly.
Know the river has its destination.
The elders say we must let go of the shore,
push off into the middle of the river,
keep our eyes open,
and our heads above the water.
And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate.
At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally.
Least of all, ourselves. For the moment that we do,
our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves!

and in celebration.
